This page explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on afsakar.dev.

1. What Is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a site. It lets the site remember you, keep your preferences and measure how it is used. Throughout this page, "cookie" also covers browser storage such as localStorage that serves the same purpose.

2. Categories We Use

2.1. Strictly necessary

Required for the site to work. These cannot be switched off and do not require consent.

Name Purpose Duration
cookie_consent Remembers your cookie choices so you are not asked on every visit 12 months
vueuse-color-scheme Stores your light/dark theme preference Until you clear it
XSRF-TOKEN, session cookie Cross-site request forgery protection on form submissions; only when the admin panel is used Session
Cloudflare security cookies Bot and attack filtering Set by Cloudflare

2.2. Analytics

Used to understand how visitors use the site: which pages get read, where visitors come from, which content draws interest. These run only if you consent.

  • Provider: Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.)

2.3. Marketing

Used for advertising and campaign measurement. These run only if you consent.

  • Provider: Google

3. How Consent Works

A cookie notice appears on your first visit. Until you make a choice, analytics and marketing cookies are off — they are denied by default as the page loads and only updated once you choose.

We use Google Consent Mode, which means no measurement cookies are written for Google unless you have consented.

Your choice is stored in your browser for 12 months. After that the notice is shown again.

4. Changing Your Preferences

You can change your choices at any time:

  • Reopen the notice from the Cookie Settings link in the footer
  • Clear site data in your browser settings — the notice will reappear on your next visit

If you block strictly necessary cookies in your browser, parts of the site may not work correctly.

5. Third-Party Links

The site links out to GitHub, package marketplaces and social networks. Once you follow such a link, that site's own cookie policy applies; we have no control over their cookies.

6. More Information

How data collected through cookies is processed is set out in the Privacy Policy. Questions: [email protected]
